We build on whatever genuinely suits the job. For most business sites, clean static or lightly templated pages are faster, more secure and cheaper to maintain than a plugin-heavy CMS. If you need editors publishing daily, a CMS makes sense and we will say so.
No. We build with standard HTML, CSS and JavaScript and hand over the source. Any competent developer can pick it up — that is deliberate.
Often, yes. If the foundation is sound we will improve performance, structure and conversion on what you have. If it is fighting you at every turn we will tell you honestly that rebuilding is cheaper.
