Overview

Your PBX, on your terms — on-prem or in the cloud

Asterisk is enormously capable and completely unopinionated, which is exactly why so many installations end up half-configured. The default dial plan does not know that your sales team finishes at five, that support needs a callback queue, or that reception should see who is calling before the phone rings.

We deploy Asterisk on the infrastructure that suits you — your own hardware on site, a VPS, or a cloud instance with your provider of choice — and then do the part most installers skip. Dial plan design, extensions, ring groups, queues, voicemail, call recording and reporting, all shaped around your working day.

Every build is tested against live calls, documented in plain English, and handed over with a walkthrough for whoever runs it day to day. If you would rather not run it at all, we will keep managing it for you.

What's included

What a VOIPNOX Asterisk build covers

From bare install to a system your team can actually operate.

Install & hardening

Asterisk deployed on-premises, on a VPS or in the cloud, with the OS and service configuration locked down from the start.

Dial plan engineering

Inbound and outbound logic designed around your departments, hours and escalation paths — not a generic template.

Extensions & queues

Desk phones, softphones and remote workers configured, with ring groups, queues and overflow rules that match how your team really works.

Voicemail & recording

Voicemail-to-email, call recording where you need it for training or compliance, and storage set up so it does not silently fill the disk.

Reporting

Call detail records and reports that answer the questions managers actually ask: who called, how long they waited, what got missed.

Docs & training

Written documentation of how your system is configured, plus a handover session so your team can make routine changes without calling us.

FAQ

Questions about Asterisk deployment

On-premises makes sense when you have reliable connectivity, existing hardware and a preference for keeping call data in the building. Cloud makes sense for distributed teams, multi-site businesses and anyone who does not want to own hardware. We will give you a straight recommendation once we know your setup.

Yes. We take over existing systems regularly — usually starting with an audit of the dial plan and security posture, then fixing what is fragile before adding anything new.

No. We will happily build and support a PBX that terminates through another carrier. Most customers do end up moving their routes across, but that is a separate decision.

You own the system and the documentation. You can run it entirely yourself, call us when something unusual comes up, or put it on a managed arrangement — whichever you prefer.
